ross-drugsOn April 5, 2013 around 11:35am, members of the MARMET/METRICH Drug Task force with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion City Police Department stopped a vehicle in the area of N. State Street and Hughes. Detectives encountered Clifton Ross as a passenger in the vehicle. While a search was being conducted, Ross became combative and started fighting with officers. Lt. Chris Adkins of The MARMET/METRICH Drug Task Force stated, “I am very proud of the work the MARMET Detectives are doing and I would like to thank Sheriff Bailey and Chief Bell for providing the resources needed to help fight the war on drugs in Marion.” Lt. Adkins adds, “anyone wishing to report criminal activity may call the TIPS line at 740-375-TIPS (8477). Information may be left anonymously as well.”
