Two Arrested for Trafficking in Prescription Pills

News Releases

On April 12, 2013, the METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force, with the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Marion City Police Department, served a search warrant at 213 Leader Street. The search warrant was issued after a one month investigation into the trafficking of prescription pills. Detectives executed the search warrant, but Richard Young and Melissa Fyffe were not at home.

Later, officers located Young and Fyffe in Caledonia, Ohio. When Young and Fyffe noticed the detectives, they fled a short distance in a vehicle to a relative’s house.

“The METRICH / MARMET Drug Task Force will continue to ramp up the pressure to push the drug dealers out of Marion”, said Lt. Adkins. Lt. Adkins added, “Anyone wishing to report criminal activity may call the TIPS line at 740-375-8477. Information may be left anonymously.”
